Cassie (Tianhang) Sun is a New York–based artist whose practice spans large format analog photography, alternative processing, and photobook making. Her work pursues two directions at once: finding form within chaos — the latent structure beneath eruption, accident, and the everyday — and releasing what is buried inside form — the intensity and wildness that structure contains but does not show.

Cassie holds a BA from Boston College and a MS from Columbia University. She has continued her studies at the International Center of Photography, the Penumbra Foundation, and the School of Visual Arts.
